An 800mm water main that supply quite a large area from Emerald hill Reservoir has failed.
The Metro has now isolated the problem and is working on the inside and the outside of the pipe.
The Metro is anticipating that the work will be done by late afternoon. The Product for internal repair needs time to dry and water will only be opened slowly to see if the repairs were done successfully before water can be fully restored.
The water will then restore to different areas throughout the night and hopefully by Wednesday morning it will be completely restored in all areas.
