Algoa bus company and the three striking Unions met at the weekend in a bid to resolve the on-going bus strike.
The National Union Of Public Service and Allied Workers (NUPSAW) provincial organiser, Lerato Thethe told Algoa Fm News that all parties had a closed meeting on Saturday whereby Algoa Bus Company made a proposal to end the strike.
Thethe says all three Unions are expected to meet with its members today to find a way forward.
"Our understanding was that we would meet on Monday to report back to members. We will then get their response and take it from there. We will then meet with management. There could be light at the end of the tunnel" he said.
The Algoa buses have been idle for over three weeks.
