At least 5 people were killed in an accident between a bakkie and a truck on the R67 just north of Fort Beaufort early on Wednesday morning.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell says the truck collided with the bakkie, which was transporting school children.
He says the three adults, including the driver of the bakkie, and two children died at the scene.
Bramwell says the road will be closed as soon as the scene is cleared up.
