The Department of Communications says its doing all it can to end a five-week long strike that has brought services to a halt country-wide.
That's the word from Department spokesperson, Siya Qoza, who says talks were held with the Communication Workers Union on Monday.
Speaking on Algoa FM on Tuesday morning, Qoza said they're confident that a strike resolution is not far off.
However, he could not give a timeframe for the resolution of the strike.
"We cannot give a time frame but we are engaging all stakeholders and we are encouraged by their response so far. We hope that the strike will end very soon" he said.
