Chinese businessman Lu Xiao, who was kidnapped in Kariega last Wednesday, has been found alive.
Xiao, 43, was found in Missionvale on Tuesday night due to the concerted efforts by members of the Gqeberha Flying Squad.
In a major breakthrough, members of the Flying Squad managed to arrest two suspects and recovered two firearms.
Despite a hefty ransom demand being made, no ransom was paid.
It is understood that Xiao was slightly bruised, shocked, and dishevelled.
He was kidnapped outside his place of employment at a mall in Kariega last week when he stopped his VW Crafter minibus to allow a gate to close behind him.
Two unknown suspects accosted him and forced him into a white Isuzu double cab bakkie.
