Police in Port Alfred have arrested a young burglary suspect, only hours after a break-in, with the help of a tracking device in a laptop computer.
Spokesperson, Lieutenant Luvuyo Mjekula, says a couple in a Port Alfred hotel woke up at 3am, and realised that they had been burgled.
The intruder had gained entry through a sliding door.
Items valued at R80 000 -- including two iPhones, a R68 000 wristwatch, cash, a laptop and carry bag were missing.
Police were called in and determined the the laptop's location through it's built-in tracker, and arrested a 15-year-old suspect at about 5AM.
The stolen items were also recovered.
