Uitenhage police have named the young woman who was killed in an accident on Matanzima Road, Kwanobuhle, late on Monday afternoon.
She was 30-year-old Sibongile Ntloko, from Kwanobuhle.
Police warrant officer Marianette Olivier says two vehicles collided shortly after five pm.
One of the six passengers in the Ford Lazer died at the scene and the other five were seriously injured and taken to Provincial Hospital in Uitenhage.
The four passengers in the VW Polo were also seriously injured and taken to hospital.
Olivier said Kwanobuhle Detectives are investigating a case of Culpable Homicide.
