Kouga Municipality issues water alert for Humansdorp

The Kouga Municipality says due to the low supply of fountain water to Humansdorp reservoir and high water consumption, some high lying areas in the town have no water supply.

It says furthermore, there is no raw water supply to the Gill Marcus treatment plant due to cable theft.

The Municipality says the reservoir is low and until power is restored, affected areas will have no water.

It says water trucks will be available in the affected areas while municipal officials are working on the problem.
