The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has advised that the Korsten driving license testing centre has been closed after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19 Monday.
The employee, a security guard, was last present at work last Thursday after falling ill and taking the COVID-19 test on the same day.
As a safety precaution, the Municipality has closed down the Korsten centre as all 39 staff members are now in quarantine.
Traffic services such as the collection of driving licence cards, the renewal of driving licences and Public Driving Permits will be affected by the closure.
The Korsten centre was the only centre that was operating in the City due to COVID-19 limitations.
The Centre is currently being decontaminated and deep cleaned
It will reopen on the 9th of July after the 14 day quarantine period is over.
