Residents of Komani are experiencing ongoing water problems due to an inconsistent electrical supply to McEwan's Pumps Station.
The Chris Hani District Municipality says this has resulted in extremely low water levels in the reservoirs.
It says it is working with the Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality to restore full water services.
In the meantime, water tankers will be dispatched to the affected area as well as other high lying areas that are affected by either low water pressure or no water at all.
On Wednesday the municipality took to twitter saying that they could not get hold of technicians or get any answers on the call centre and blamed it on strike action.
