Knysna rape-accused to appear in court

The man accused of raping and killing nine-year-old Rosaline Philander in Rheenendal outside Knysna last year, is expected to appear in the Knysna District Court on Monday.

Her body was found in a wooded area in Rheenendal in August last year, after she disappeared from where she was playing soccer with her friends in front of her home.

Her throat was slit and an autopsy revealed that she had also been raped.

A 32-year-old family member was arrested later that day.
