A karate coach from the Wilderness appeared in the George Regional Court on Monday on charges of the possession and the creation of child pornography.
The 37-year-old man, identified as Wessel Wilms by the George Herold newspaper, was arrested in August last year after a member of the public tipped-off the police.
Wilms, who teaches karate to children in the George and Knysna area, pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
He faces three charges of creating child pornography, three charges of the possession of child pornography and four counts of crimen injuria.
During the police investigation members of the George Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit confiscated a laptop and desktop computer belonging to Wilms.
The case was postponed to 10 March.
