Kirkwood police appeal for help in solving woman's murder

 Kirkwood police are appealing for help in finding the killer or killers of a local woman who's body was found at the Bergsig rugby field.

Police spokesperson, warrant officer Gerda Swart, says according to police records, 53-year-old Aannie Hendricks suffered an open wound to the head.

Her body was found on Tuesday night by members of the local community.

Swart says anyone who can assist the police with information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrator should contact the Kirkwood police.
