Kirkwood fugitive, Jan Boeta Williams, who has been on the run since the end of December after escaping from custody, has been re-arrested.
Williams was part of a prison work team tending cattle, when he made he disappeared on the 30th of December.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Marianette Olivier says he was arrested on a farm in the Kareedouw area on Tuesday.
She says he is due to appear in the Kirkwood Magistrates' Court today on two charges of escaping from custody as well as housebreaking and theft.
Williams was serving a long term sentence for rape at the time of his escape.
