The Cacadu District Municipality is celebrating a clean audit report from the Auditor General for the 2010/2011 financial year.
Speaking at the first council meeting of the year today, Executive Mayor Eunice Kekana, praised her colleagues for achieving the sixth clean audit in a row.
She says the audit report shows that the leadership of the Cacadu council is on track in achieving its objectives.
Turning to the 10 individual municipalities that make up the Cacadu District, mayor Kekana said those who's books were not in order, should buckle up.
"Good governance can not be compromised, as we are accountable to the constituencies of Cacadu. We are still concerned about our local municipalities. Wewill only be saying 'we've done well', when all ten municipalities receive unqualified, clean audits," Kekana said.
