Killers of Addo farmer, Allan Clarke, sentenced

Three men who were found guilty of the 2015 murder of Addo farmer, Allan Clarke, have been given lengthy jail sentences in the Grahamstown High Court.

Sixty-two-year-old Clarke was found beaten to death after being abducted from his farm last April during a robbery.

Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Gerda Swart, says 23-year-old Monwabisi Faku, was jailed for life on a charge of murder on Friday.

He was given an additional 15 years for robbery with aggravated circumstances.

Co-accused, Lonwabo Pindo and Ayanda Nzimande, were both jailed for 20 years on the murder charge and 12 years each on the robbery count.

The sentences will run concurrently.

Sixty-two year old Clarke, who lived alone on the farm Sundowner in Sunland, was found beaten to death after being abducted from his farm following a robbery in April last year.

His body was found along a gravel road near the N2 in Greenbushes outside Port Elizabeth.
