Queenstown police have appealed to the public who bought cars from hijacking suspect, Kenny Mokoena, to return the cars to the Vehicle Identification Section unit.
Police investigator, Captain Mtunzima Nyengule, says Mokoena was arrested last Thursday in Butterworth and appeared in court this week.
He says six vehicles hijacked in Gauteng were recovered.
Nyengule says its alleged that Mokoena may have hijacked as many as 30 cars and sold them to various people in the Eastern Cape, mostly in the former Transkei area.
The case against Mokoena was postponed to the First of March for a formal bail application.
Police are expected to oppose any bail application.
