A 17-year-old East London youth who allegedly stabbed junior featherweight boxer Lundi Madondile to death last week, has been killed.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Hazel Mqala, says the youth was apprehended by community members and allegedly beaten to death.
She says enraged residents of Scenery Park caught the man and attacked him after being told he had stormed into the 30-year-old boxer's home and stabbed him several times.
Madondile was to have challenged South African junior featherweight Macbute Sinyabi for the title on December 8th.
