A man who was mauled to death by two Rottweilers in Kenton-on-Sea this weekend has been identified.
Police spokesperson, Warrant-Officer Majola Nkhohli says 25-year-old Khayalethu Bulu was walking in Northwood Street when he was attacked by the dogs in the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to several media outlets, the owner of the dogs was identified as the Mayor of the Ndlambe Municipality, Khuluwa Ncamiso.

W/O Nkohli, however, declined to confirm the allegation and said the investigation was ongoing.
He says ownership of the dogs must still be formally established and whether a criminal case will be opened.
Bulu sustained several bite wounds and died on the scene.
The dogs were taken away from the scene by the SPCA and their fate is unknown.
