A Grade 11 learner from Point High School in Mossel Bay has died after she crashed her motorcycle on her way to school.
The 18-year-old Norica Dos Reis Da Silva was driving on Louis Fourie Road early on Wednesday morning when she crashed into a motorcycle in front of her.
Mossel Bay police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Pieter says a preliminary investigation suggests that a vehicle reduced speed to turn right at the entrance of the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court when Norica collided with a motorcycle that was driving behind the vehicle.
She was transported to a nearby hospital with multiple injuries where she died later in the afternoon.
The Mossel Bay police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
