Kareedouw police have arrested a 25-year-old woman for the alleged murder of a man who's body was found on the road near the town early Tuesday morning.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Marianette Olivier, says its alleged that the woman picked up the deceased, 24-year-old Richard Qwazi, and two girls, aged 13 and 17.
"They drove together and were drinking. Allegedly there (was) an argument between them and one of the girls, 17 years old, was tied up and thrown out of the vehicle," she said.
Olivier said "the deceased, 24 year old Richard Qwazi's throat was cut. The other passenger, 13 years old, jumped out of the vehicle and both the girls fled from the scene for help."
"After following up information police went to a house in Kareedouw and arrested a 25 year old suspect. She will appear in Kareedouw Court on Thursday," Olivier said.
