Kareedouw murder suspect leads police to shallow grave

A 38-year-old man is expected to appear in the Humansdorp magistrates court on Friday after he allegedly murdered his girlfriend.

Police Spokesperson Sergeant Majola Nkohli says when the accused was arrested on Wednesday he took police to a shallow grave on a farm in Kareedouw where a decomposed body was discovered.

He says a post-mortem and DNA analysis will have to be conducted to confirm that the body is that of the missing 28-year-old Jacqueline Adams.

Adams, who lives in Storms River, occasionally went to Kareedouw to visit her boyfriend.

She was last seen about two weeks ago.
