Residents of Kamesh in Uitenhage took to the streets Wednesday night in another round of protests reportedly linked to ongoing housing demands.
Police were out in force again as residents set up barricades and threw stones in several roads in the area.
No action had to be taken as police patrols were intensified throughout the night.
Police said Thusday morning that the situation was calm overnight.
