The prominent George dentist accused of raping and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old schoolboy will have to wait another month before learning his fate.
Magistrate Eugenia Jacobs was to deliver judgment in the Thembalethu Regional Court on Tuesday, but postponed the matter to the 17th of September as she said she had "misjudged the amount of reading" she had to do in order to deliver judgment.
The 42-year-old Ian Venter is accused of raping and sexually assaulting a family friend's teenage son at his luxury rental home at Victoria Bay on the 27th of December 2011.
He faces a total of nine charges.
Venter allegedly offered the teenager alcohol and pornographic material before performing various sexual acts on the minor.
Venter was arrested the next day and subsequently released on one-thousand rands bail.
His bail was extended to his next court appearance.
