Jeffrey's Bay police have arrested a 28-year-old suspect on charges of murder, possession of a prohibited firearm, and the illegal possession of ammunition.
Spokesperson, Captain Marius McCarthy says the suspect entered the yard of a house in Ocean View on Friday where three men were standing in the backyard.
He says the suspect, who was known to them, pulled out a firearm and fired several shots.
One man was fatally wounded.
McCarthy says a search was launched and the suspect was arrested at a farmhouse in the area.
Police confiscated a 9mm pistol and ammunition.
The suspect is due to appear in the Humansdorp Magistrate's Court on Monday.
