The Hawks has arrested another suspect in connection with their ongoing investigation into the issuing of false roadworthy certificates for vehicles in the Western Cape.
The 36-year-old former cashier at a vehicle testing station in Jeffreys Bay was allegedly linked to the capturing of applications onto the National Traffic Information System (NaTIS) for Western Cape vehicles issued with roadworthy certificates without being examined.
Her arrest comes after four other suspects were also picked up in Jeffreys Bay, Port Elizabeth, and Cape Town last month.
The woman is due to appear in court on Thursday.
The Hawks said more arrests were expected as investigations continued.
