A 62-year-old man from Jeffrey's Bay was shot and killed in his home in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police Spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says the man heard a noise inside his house in Silver tree Road and went downstairs to investigate.
It is alleged that the homeowner was approached by the suspects and a scuffle ensued. Shots were fired and the man died at the scene.
Swart says three suspects were arrested shortly after the crime after alert community members reported suspicious persons in their yard.
Police immediately responded and made one arrest, upon further investigations they were led to the homes of the other two, who lived in Oceanview.
The men will appear in the Humansdorp Magistrates court on Monday on charges of murder, housebreaking and theft.
Swart says the victim has not yet been formally identified and therefore his name cannot be released at this stage.
