J'Bay doctor back in court on sexual assault charges

A 54-year-old Jeffreys Bay doctor has made another appearance in the Humansdorp Magistrates' Court on four charges of sexual assault.

During Tuesday's proceedings, the case was remanded to the 31st January, when a regional court date is expected to be set.

Members of the Humansdorp Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit arrested the doctor on 4 charges of sexual assault on the 19th of September 2012.

It is alleged that four boys, three of whom are brothers, were sexually assaulted by the doctor when they were in consultation with him.

The alleged incidents started in 2003 when the boys were between eight and ten years old.
