The KFC Ironman for kids charity trust handed over 310 thousand rand check to charities in Buffalo City on Thursday.
The funds are raised through the Ironman 70.3 which took place in East London in January.
Salem baby care center and Child Welfare Centre were the beneficiaries for the funding.
Ironman 4 kids' Garth Wright says they know the value these funds have towards disadvantaged children.
"Very excited about the amount of money we have raised, because we know where it is going and the value it brings to disadvantaged children in our region and we are just blessed and humbled that we could bring R310 000 to Buffalo City" he said.
