A Murder investigation by the Port Elizabeth police has gone cold with the public's help now being requested.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the mysterious murder took place in March this year.
According to detectives from the Kabega Park police, the body of 49-year-old Mpumelelo Nomayazi was found in an open field in the Kuyga area on the evening of the 5th of March.
Nomayazi, who rented out a shack in the area, was found not far from there with a gunshot wound to his eye and neck.
The motive for the murder is unknown.
Nomayazi's wife told police that her husband left home with an unknown person in a grey vehicle, never to see him alive again.
Detectives are appealing to the community to come forward with any information either voluntarily or anonymously.
