Interruption to electricity supply: sections of Uitenhage

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality will be undertaking repairs and maintenance at the San Souci and Tollgate substations on Sunday, 22 July 2012. Therefore, the electricity supply to certain areas of Uitenhage will be disconnected between 08:00 and 16:00 on Sunday.

Areas affected:
Vanes Estate, Levydale, Jansendal, Uitenhage Northern Areas, Groendal, Kruisrivier, Mosel, Middle Street, Fairbridge Heights, Kabah/Langa, Strelitzia Park, Jubilee Park, Uitenhage Central, College Hill, Penford, Van Riebeeckhoogte, Valleisig, Eric Dodd, Scheepershoogte, De Mist, Dr Braun and the Nelson Mandela Bay Logistics Park.
The Municipality apologies for the inconvenience, but such repairs are necessary in improving our electricity infrastructure.

In the event of poor weather conditions, the repairs and maintenance will be undertaken on the following Sunday, that is 29 July 2012, during the same time.

Residents in the affected areas are warned that there is no guarantee that supply will be off throughout the stated period (08:00 to 16:00), and electricity in all premises must therefore be regarded as being live during these hours.
