The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality will launch its much anticipated integrated transport system on Thursday.
The launch programme begins at city hall with guests taking a bus ride to the Uitenhage Town Hall for the rest of the formalities.
Eastern Cape Transport MEC, Tandiswa Marawu, will deliver the keynote address at the launch of the pilot bus service, dubbed Libhongo-lethu.
The articulated buses were purchased for the 2010 World Cup and will be used on routes between Port Elizabeth and Uitenhage.
