Two people have been killed and more than 30 injured after a bus driver lost control on the R56 between Matatiele and Kokstad.
A spokesperson for Provincial Traffic Unathi Binqhose says a three-month-old baby and an adult female died on the scene.
He says the InterCity bus was travelling from Gauteng through Kokstad in the direction of Matatiele when the bus overturned.
Twenty-three people were seriously injured while both drivers were unharmed.
Bingqose says this is still an active scene as emergency services are busy assisting passengers who are entrapped.
He says the cause of the accident is unknown at this stage and a case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
Binqose says there were roughly 46 occupants on board.
