The Kouga Municipality says Humansdorp is without water due to zero water flowing from the Churchill Dam, which is managed by the Nelson Mandela Metro, into the respective reservoirs.
The Municipality says this has been since Monday, and they've been in constant communication with Nelson Mandela Metro to mitigate the situation as soon as possible.
Mayor, Horatio Hendricks, says Kouga Municipality is doing all it can to supplement the water supply from its boreholes and water fountains, but there's insufficient water to meet the current demand.
He says Humansdorp residents will only have water for short periods of time during the day until the situation is resolved.
