A teenager from Humansdorp was shot and killed in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says the 15-year-old Antonio Botha was standing outside his house in Rosyntjie Street when an unknown person fired several shots at him.
She says community members heard the shots and found Botha's body with multiple gunshot wounds on the ground.
The child was declared dead on the scene.
The motive for the murder is unknown at this stage and the suspect is still at large.
