A 26-year-old man from Humansdorp is expected to appear in court this week after he allegedly killed his girlfriend whose body was found on the roadside near Driefontein Farm in Humansdorp on Monday.
A spokesperson Sergeant Majola Nkohli says the 23-year-old Rianda Munnick was stabbed several times and left on the side of the road.
He says her body was discovered by a farmworker who was herding cattle.
Police activated a 72-hour activation plan and managed to arrest the suspect within 26 hours.
The suspect, who can only be named once he has appeared in court, will be charged with murder.
