Humansdorp left in dark after copper theft

 A large section of Humansdorp has been without electricity since last night after copper thieves made off with more than 1km of electrical wiring.

Kouga Municipal Manager Sidney Fadi says the thieves struck at about 10pm, adding that it appears to be the work of a highly specialised syndicate.

It is expected that the power will be restored by Tuesday evening.
