The seaside village of Beachview and Seaview in Nelson Mandela Bay is being threatened by a large veld fire which is being fanned by strong winds and warm weather.
Emergency services are on the scene and visuals seen by Algoa FM News show flames several feet high threatening homes in the area.
People are being advised to stay away from the area unless they live there - or have the capacity to assist in the firefighting effort.
Algoa FM News has also received reports of a wildfire burning on the perimeter of Norm Huddlin which is the cycling and running trails off Kragga Kamma Road.
Officials and firefighters are on the scene there too - the area is home to a number of small holdings.
Meanwhile, the fire that raged near the N2 at Baywest flared up again on Tuesday.
The Acting Head for Safety and Security Warren Prins says two homes were damaged in Seaview and families have been evacuated.
Earlier on Tuesday, the weather office issued a warning of extremely hot weather expected in large parts of Algoa Country.
