Police in Algoa Park in Gqeberha are searching for a woman who is believed to have abducted a newborn baby boy at Kenako Mall on Sunday.
Police spokesperson, Captain Andre' Beetge, says the woman pretended to have been sent by the family of 33-year-old Noncedo Jali, to help her after she gave birth last Tuesday.
He says the suspect accompanied Jali to Kenako Mall after she was discharged on Sunday to draw money to buy baby clothes.
However, Beetge says the woman managed to evade Jali in the busy Mall, and the woman and the newborn baby are still missing.
