The United Democratic Movement says it plans to visit the community of Sterkspruit in the Eastern Cape this week.
Party leader, Bantu Holomisa, told AlgoaFM News that he had been invited to the town to discuss the complaints and grievances of residents.
"Normally when I come back from trips of that nature I compile a report and submit it to the relevant authorities. The more noise we make the better we can solve the problem of Sterkspruit" he said
Holomisa's visit on Thursday comes in the aftermath of protests by local residents who are demanding to break-away from the Senqu Municipality due to the lack of service delivery to Sterkspruit.
The protests resulted in the town being shut down for two weeks recently.
