Two holiday makers, visiting Mossel Bay, were involved in an armed robbery on Friday afternoon, merely four hours after arriving in town.
Police spokesperson, Pieter Koekemoer says the 18-year-old-woman and 20-year-old man took a walk on the railway across the 'De Bakke Terrace' next to Louis Fourie road when the incident happened.
Police say the victims were walking in the direction of Diaz Beach when four men approached them.
Koekemoer says one suspect was armed with a knife while another man held the woman at gunpoint.
The men robbed the victims of their cellphones and ran away.
The area has been labeled a robbery hot spot following multiple armed robberies in broad daylight.
