East London Police are investigating a case of businesses robbery and attempted murder following a robbery at a Sasol fill up station in Abbotsford on Thursday.
Police spokesperson warrant Officer Hazel Mqala says two unknown men pretended to be customers and entered the garage demanding cash from the tellers.
Mqala said the men fled with R3 000 in cash including packets of cigarettes.
On their way out, the men fired a shot to a security officer and hit him in his lower body.
She added that the suspects are still at large and pleaded to anyone with information to contact the East London Police.
