Detectives from Gqeberha are on the hunt for three armed suspects who robbed an old age home in Zwide on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says the drama unfolded when a man was hijacked by three suspects in Somphontsha street just before noon.
She says the complainant was forced to drive to the Old Age home in Booi street where the suspects broke down an office door, stealing an undisclosed amount of cash.
Captain Swart says the complainant was then forced back into his VW Polo and they drove towards a clinic in Zwide where they dropped him off.
Police later recovered the VW Polo abandoned in the same street where it was hijacked.
Cases of business robbery, hijacking and kidnapping are under investigation.
