A well-known helicopter pilot from the Garden Route has died after a long battle with Covid-19.
The 68-year-old Kobus Crous who was the owner of Mossel Bay Helicopters and the Bergsig Game Farm had been involved in countless rescue efforts throughout the years, saving lives and property from fires and disasters.
Crous contracted Covid-19 in July and was later transported to a hospital in Gauteng where he was treated by a lung specialist, fighting for his life.
His wife, Lizelle, told Algoa FM News that Crous passed away just after midnight on Wednesday.
