Heavy rain on Saturday resulted in a power trip and leaks in some areas of Chief Dawid Stuurman Airport in Gqeberha.
Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) said in a statement that parking booms were affected while the airport was also impacted by a burst pipe which led to water restrictions inside the terminal.
It said had requested Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality to deploy a water truck to the airport.
“Our airport retailers have also been impacted with several service offerings on the menu unavailable due to the water restrictions.”
ACSA apologised to travellers and stakeholders for any inconvenience caused.
