Two Eastern Cape health department officials have been killed in an accident in Mount Fletcher.
Health Department spokesperson, Sizwe Kupelo, says they were on duty and travelling from Queenstown to Mount Fletcher when the accident occurred on Monday night.
He says their vehicle collided with a tractor which had no lights on, before crashing into an oncoming car.
The driver of the unroadworthy tractor has been arrested.
Kupelo says the officials, an administrator and a procurement manager, were attached to Taylor Bequest Hospital in Mount Fletcher.
