The Hawks in George have taken two men in for questioning in connection with a truck hijacking.
Police spokesperson, captain Bernadine Steyn, says the men from Mossel Bay were detained on Thursday afternoon.
She says it alleged that the pair, aged 32 and 37, hijacked a truck at gunpoint from a parking area between Mead and Cradock Street in George early on Thursday morning.
Steyn says the driver was forced to exit the vehicle and three suspects then drove off.
She says meat and cash had been taken from the truck which was later found abandoned.
No one sustained serious injuries during the incident.
