Hartenbos toddler to be removed from his foster home

The little baby boy from Hartenbos who was so severely abused that he will never be normal again, has had to be removed from the foster home that he was placed into in Pretoria recently.

The child was four months old when he was assaulted by his 28-year-old father.

Correspondent Louise Karsten reports that he is now two and a half years old.

The father of the baby is accused of attempted murder after his infant son was abused presumably in August 2012.

The accused pleaded that he did not know what he was doing at the time of the abuse.

The child was placed in foster care in Pretoria but it seems as if he and his 6-year old sister were neglected.

Both children were removed from the foster home by the department of social work earlier this week.

An investigation is underway after which the children will presumably be placed in another foster home.

The father remains in custody and will appear in court soon.
