Hankey suspect leads cops to body of missing girl

A 40-year-old man from Hankey is expected to appear in the local Magistrates' Court on Thursday after he led police to the body of a missing nine-year-old girl.

A spokesperson Sergeant Majola Nkohli says Aqhama Tom was last seen on Sunday afternoon and was officially reported as missing on Monday.

He says within six hours police arrested a suspect who led them to the bushes near the R330 where he dumped her body.

Tom's cause of death is not yet known.
