A 45-year old wanted suspect was arrested in Kragga Kamma Road, Port Elizabeth yesterday.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the arrest was made by members of the Walmer police station when they noticed a suspicious looking person while patrolling.
She says the man was taken in for profiling and questioning.
Naidu says the suspect is wanted for seven cases of theft out of motor vehicles, allegedly committed in the Mount Road, Humewood, Walmer and Kabega Park areas between 2003 and 2018.
She says the suspect also has a string of previous convictions of housebreaking, theft, possession of housebreaking implements, contempt of court and possession of drugs.
He is being detained and is expected to appear in court soon.
